We are located in Laconi, in the province of Oristano, a charming village on the border between southern Sardinia and the Barbagie region, right in the center of the island.
Fifty years ago, it was founded at the request of Sardinian Capuchin friars, who sought serenity and joy in this splendid oasis of nature, away from the noise of the city.
The Franciscan Oasis of Saint Ignatius of Laconi preserves these characteristics intact; a place of welcome, peace, and faith, thanks to a chapel and tree-lined avenues, framing a place of prayer and meditation.
Today, the Franciscan Oasis serves as a reference point for spiritual retreats, a school of prayer, and joyfully welcomes both the young and old, groups or families, and anyone wishing to embark on a journey of faith.
